Biography
Prof Kirby is visiting professor to the Faculty of Health and Human Sciences, at the University of Hertfordshire. He was previously visiting professor to the Institute of Diabetes for Older People at the University of Bedfordshire. He is an international lecturer on men’s health.
Prof Kirby is an Associate Member of the British Association of Urological Surgeons and a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians. He has been an active member of the Department of Health Prostate Cancer Risk Management Working Party and the Prostate Cancer Advisory Group, and also advisor to the Sexual Dysfunction Association. He is a longstanding member and treasurer of the British Society of Sexual Medicine.
He was Editor in Chief of the Primary Care Cardiovascular Journal, on the editorial board of the British Journal of Primary Care Nursing, the British Journal of Cardiology, Geriatric Medicine and the International Journal of Clinical Practice. He has also held membership of several NHS advisory boards. He has published more than 400 clinical papers and 30 books.
