Biography
Dr N A Mark Estes III, MD is the Director of the New England Cardiac Arrhythmia Center at Tufts Medical Center and Professor of Medicine at Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston.
He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania and medical degree from the University of Cincinnati where he was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha. He trained in medicine at New England Deaconess Hospital, cardiology at New England Medical Center and clinical cardiac electrophysiology at Massachusetts General Hospital.
He has served as the President of the Boston Board and Northeast Affiliate of the AHA, Chairman of the AHA Council on Clinical Cardiology, and President of the Heart Rhythm Society. He is a member of 13 editorial boards including two as an Associate Editor and one as Section Editor.
He has multiple awards and honors including the Paul Dudley White Award and the Distinguished Leadership Award of the AHA. He also has been recognized with the President’s Award of the Heart Rhythm Society and the Distinguished Achievement Award of the European Society of Cardiology. He has over 450 publications.
