Dr Timothy Fairbairn is a Consultant Cardiologist at Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital and clinical lecturer at the University of Liverpool.
Dr Fairbairn obtained his degree from the University of Manchester and clinical training at Northern England, completing a PhD at the University of Leeds and an International Fellowship at Toronto General Hospital, Canada. He specialises in advanced echocardiography, cardiovascular MRI and cardiac CT. Clinical and research interests include aortic valve disease, TAVI and Cardiac CT.
Dr Fairbairn has over 30 peer-reviewed publications and research awards from the American Heart Association and British Society of Cardiac MRI (BSCMR). He is chief investigator for the UK ADVANCE FFRCT study.
