Prof Francisco Leyva and Prof Mauro Biffi introduce this online video series, filmed in partnership with the BHRS. Through a series of 8 videos, they explain how faculty aim to draw parallels on hospital responses during the COVID-19 crisis and assess how treating patients in cardiology has been during this period and how cardiologists will continue to operate in what will be the new ‘normal’.

Faculty Biographies
Francisco Leyva
Professor of Cardiology and Consultant Cardiologist
Francisco Leyva Professor of Cardiology and Director of Medical Research at Aston University, and Consultant Cardiologist at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham, UK. His clinical expertise is in cardiac device therapy (CRT, pacemakers, ICDs), heart failure, cardiomyopathies and CMR.
Mauro Biffi
Dr Mauro Biffi is Clinical Cardiologist, Director of Electrophysiology at the Hospital San Orsola and tutor at the Cardiology School of Bologna University, Italy. He has participated in several international clinical studies and his main areas of interest are arrhythmias and HF.
